This is square abstract painting with the colors of a cloudy sky, including white, gray, and deep warm blues. It has been embellished with hand stitching that accentuates and highlights the color shift in the paint. Small variations in both hue and shade give the impression of light emerging from the painting itself. The paint application is expressive and tactile, sometimes appearing to melt into the canvas and other times coming forward in bold, thick strokes.
This painting is ready to hang. The back has been wired, and the edges are painted, so no frame is necessary. Should you wish to frame it, I am happy to send the painting directly to your local frame shop upon request.
